Revisiting The “9-11 Carnage: Cui Bono”? PDF Print E-mail
11 September 2007, Future Global Network (FGN), a Malaysian based Regional Network of Muslim NGOs dedicated to the peaceful coexistence of humanity, takes a second serious look at the sensational event that took place on this date in 2001.
Today marks the Sixth anniversary of the infamous attack of the World Trade Centre in New York City where the Twin Towers crumbled to ground zero in a matter of minutes after two passenger aircrafts smashed into them in half-an-hour interval. More questions than answers had since been raised from various angles of doubts and suspicions surrounding the incident.
As in other previous bombings and terror attacks, Muslims were immediately tagged as the culprits even before the Twin Towers’ dust had settled. But among the remaining unanswered questions is: who benefited from the carnage? If it was a business endeavour, how much is the overall percentage of profits and/or losses? One thing sure, the management of the Twin Towers, perhaps in anticipation, had insured and re-insured the property well before the incident took place.

Apparently, the government of the United States of America suffered a great deal in terms of manpower, prestige and financial losses on a short term basis. However, in the long term, the superpower has amassed inconceivable amount of financial and material gains, as well as significant political and military influences over the rests of the world.

The other beneficiaries of the 9-11 Affair are the Zionist State of Israel, the U.K, Australia, Spain, South Korea and Japan, among others. Those who openly supported the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq also may have had their share of the proverbial cake one way or another.

Before the 9-11 Affair, the USA had a hard time negotiating for the right to construct a pipeline through Afghanistan and Pakistan, from the Caspian Sea to the Gulf of Oman or the Arabian Sea. Likewise, the USA and Israel had a problem containing the Iraqi threat against the Zionist State. Iraq’s army at the time was among the most formidable in the Middle East, both in manpower and equipment. Now they could dictate the route for the pipelines, have removed the threat to Israel and, on top of that, have gained total control of the oil and other resources, including the political and military affairs of Afghanistan and Iraq.

The detractors of the USA contend that 9-11 was stage-managed by the superpower’s military intelligence, in cahoots with the Israeli, agencies to achieve all of the above. But in the absence of credible evidence, anyone can only conjecture.
